DADDY YANKEE AND LUIS FONSI With three billion views, Despacito becomes the most seen clip on YouTube
The clip of the song “Despacito” became Friday the most watched video in the history of the YouTube platform, new sign of the global popularity of this tube reggaeton, coming from Puerto Rico.
With a little more than three billion views, Despacito has surpassed the title “See You Again” by rapper Wiz Khalifa, soundtrack of the film “Fast and Furious 7”, which showed Saturday morning 2.996 billion views. Long the top of the ranking, the “Gangnam Style” of the South Korean singer Psy is now distanced, with 2.919 billion views.
Already the most listened song in streaming
Mid-July, “Despacito”, performed by the Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi had already become the most played song in streaming of all time. The rhythm with which the clip climbed to the top of YouTube (7 months) is unheard of.
“Despacito”, a Latin song full of sexual undertones has become viral soon after its release in January. The title expanded its audience in April, when Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber put his voice in a remix.
